Zen on Trend
Europe’s biggest interiors fair, Maison d’objet in Paris closed its doors last month after over 3,000 new and established designers gathered to showcase their inspirational designs for the coming year. Everything from the weird to the wonderful were on display, but there were a few key styles that we were excited to see are set to continue into the coming year. We always keep an eye on the main interior fashions popular in Europe, and here is a selection of a few of our exclusive furniture and furnishings that are bang on trend. Art Deco was a massive theme, with its instantly recognisable geometric lines and quirky shapes. Plush velvets in rich tones of purple, green, teal and maroon were used for sofas and armchairs, while accessories and occasional furniture had more than a hint of the swinging twenties and thirties. Bare All is a nod to neutrals and nature, with oatmeal being used by many designers. This easy-to-use colour suits all styles, and is a good way to introduce some calm tranquillity into your home. Our Hutton dining chair is a perfect fit for this theme, as are our range of deep pile shaggy rugs. Rattan, and Bamboo were the stand-out materials at this year’s fair, and our love for these two is evident in our furniture ranges. They are strong, pliable, and beautiful when used in tables, seat backs, or as inspiration for our new bathroom accessories products. Happy shopping!
